Illinois Government to Raise Taxes by 50%
Apparently our new illustrious governor is proposing that the State of Illinois raise its taxes by 50% in order to balance the budget. I have a question to ask. Is he living in reality? Pat Quinn (the governor) must have been on Mars in a cave with his eyes shut and his fingers in his ears, because he certainly hasn’t been on earth. If he had been on earth he would have realized that the recession has also affected the people in the State of Illinois. Does he have absolutely no concept of economics whatsoever? Can he not even bring up the idea of cutting one of the fattest state budgets in the country? Does he not have one care whatsoever for anybody? Or is he just too dense to realize the harm this tax increase will do to people in this state? The federal income taxes are already oppressive. The county I live in, between local county and state, has the highest sales tax in the country. I usually hate ad hominem arguments, but Pat Quinn is stupid stupid stupid (or very very evil). I’m too mad to say anything else.
