A New Plan
It is unfortunate, but I think that it is going to get much worse before it gets better. Sometimes I think maybe it would be better for the liberty movement to stop altogether and let the socialist move fast enough that people realize how bad it really is. Don’t slowly bring the water the frog is to a boil, just throw him in the already boiling water. Maybe we should even withdraw our effort from the world and see how well those leeches of the world do without us.
Now, some of you may know where I am going with this. That’s right, I am suggesting the John Galt approach. If you have not read Atlas Shrugged then you must get yourself a copy of it and read it. It is one of the greatest books ever written. That is a quote from the book on the right sidebar. It rejects the philosophy of socialism which is based on slavery, and celebrates working for yourself, which will inevitably help others much more than socialism ever could.
It’s unfortunate that we live in a world that hates the productive and loves the parasite. It’s unfortunate that we have so many that live off of the production of others. It’s unfortunate that some make others feel obligated to support them even though they are perfectly capable of supporting themselves. The morality of the world needs to change before we can truly bring feedom and liberty to the forefront. Remember what John Galt said, “Evil has no power but that which we let it extort from us.” Stop letting it extort you.
Sometimes I just want to leave the country to the socialism that history shows will inevitably be a failure. I’m sure thousands of people have said this before, but if I was only brave enough and if I thought anybody would listen I would call a strike of the productive and bring as many people as I could with me the way John Galt did. Unfortunately I don’t think anybody would listen to me. But what if somebody could call a successful strike of “men of the mind.” What would happen when the world sees how much worse it is when those they had some much disdain for decided enough is enough? When they left the looters, moochers, and parasites to their own destructive devices?
The government keeps getting in the way of solving this recession. It also keeps getting in the way of letting people realize their true productive potential with every regulation and restriction they enact. Sure, if the government did nothing it would get worse, and companies would fail, but that is what we need. We need to get rid of the bad companies to free up resources for the more productive companies. If the government ever decides to ask you how to solve this current economic situation, simply answer “Get out of the way.”
