Chicago! Please Stop Voting for the Most Corrupt People you can Find!

Ron Huberman, former head of one of the worst transit systems in the country, the Chicago Transit Authority, has now been named as the head as one of the worst school systems in the country, The Chicago Public Schools. It’s fitting isn’t it, that Mayer Richard M. Daley of Chicago simply took the head of one of the cities failures to head up another of the cities failures that has nothing to do with the first failure. Maybe he thinks Huberman will be good at something completely different since he wasn’t good at his first job. Maybe his plan is to take all of his buddies and, through trial and error, attempt to put them in charge of the thing that they will screw up the least. It is as if Daley is hoping this city will fail. I’m not exactly sure how this fits into his plan to win the 2016 Olympics, but of course, while in office, he’s never actually used anything close to reason. It’s amazing that people in this city keep electing him.

I mean, I can kind of understand how people vote for politicians that like to expand government and take away freedom, but I can never understand how people keep voting the most corrupt people that they can find. In the last 40 years 3 governors of Illinois have ended up in jail (from both the Republican and Democratic part), and a 4th seems to be on his way for massive corruption. Our newest Federal Senator looks to be on his way to being the first person kicked out of the senate since the War Between the States. We have a county president that was basically guaranteed the job when his father died during the campaign and who has given us the highest tax rate in the country because the county wastes so much money giving jobs to their friends. In Chicago proper, we basically have a dynasty in the mayoral seat that thinks it can do anything it wants. The whole local government system is set up for corruption by having 50 aldermen – each in charge of a separate Ward – who that has significant power in their ward when it comes to what can and cannot be built there. They must be putting something in the water. Good thing I have a filter.
